Ragamuffin Goose

Undoubtedly, some of my readers have wondered if I have dropped off the planet. And most certainly, I almost did. If a goose could die of allergies, then I would most definitely be in Heaven today. It’s been pretty rough on old Mother Goose, but I think I’m feeling better enough to write today. Although, be careful not to touch your computer screen because I have eyes full of styes. I would not wish this on anyone…

“But Mother Goose, how…?” you may ask and your question may trail off just like that if you saw my eyes right now. With all simplification in place, I will say this: if your eyes itch and burn like they have fire in them from the pollen in the spring air, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT RUB THEM OR PLACE YOUR FINGERS ANYWHERE WITHIN TEN INCHES FEET OF YOUR EYES!

I would take a picture and show my eyes to you, but you would throw up on your keyboard. Indeed, Mother Goose has no desire to be a liability to any one of her loyal and loving readers. And a special shout out to my dear reader, Dianna, for kindly asking about me — you’re such a sweet heart and everybody should just go over to her blog right away as soon as you are done here and see just how wonderful she is…

Anyway, to get to the meandering point of my post today…

“A ragamuffin knows he’s only a beggar at the door of God’s mercy.” Brennan Manning

Sometimes a movie comes along that will change your life and the way that you view God. Sometimes you have to wait about fifteen years for that movie to be created, but you know it’s coming. I’m only a goose, but I’m just out and out promoting a new movie about the amazing life of Rich Mullins — it’s coming soon and here’s a trailer for it. PLEASE watch the trailer and share it with everybody you know and be blessed.

And please pray for the eyes of Mother Goose to heal quickly — I have so many stories to tell!

Ragamuffin will be one of those movies that you can’t get out of your mind long after the credits have rolled… In fact, I had dreams about Rich and his music all night long just from watching the trailer a few times.

Natalie, the gaps in writing are not entirely alarming. And yes, was wondering. And had faith, always faith, you’d come back as soon as you were able.

And to share such a wonderful trailer to a story I can’t wait to watch.

Had no idea. Never have been much of a fan of “early” Christian music. Why? Never been exposed to it. The local radio station here plays everything the Jars Of Clay’s “Flood” single unleashed after it made it to the pop charts.

Anyway, and most importantly, hope your eyes are healthy now.

I have an appointment with a good ophthalmology specialist tomorrow. “Stuff” just isn’t resolving as it should — hurts like crazy and looks plenty gross. I could easily get a part in a scary movie…

But the Ragamuffin movie will be so great to see. I never met Rich, but since his passing into glory, I have met many of his friends and even his brother. He was such an amazing man — gifted and humble and real. Somehow, he knew that his time was passing quickly and he plunged into a great mission of serving the least fortunate children on the Rez. Incredibly story of rags to riches to love…

Oh, Mother Goose, I’m hoping that your allergies will soon be gone. Motor Man suffers from allergies too, and sometimes I just feel so sorry for him! Thanks for the mention of my blog – I was worried about you!

Thanks so much for caring, dear. I had to smile when you wrote that “sometimes” you feel sorry for Motor Man when his allergies are acting up. I’m sure that your sometimes are pretty certainly all times.

Linda dear, we have waited a LONG TIME for this movie. I am wondering how the release of Ragamuffin will affect Mitch’s music career — surely he couldn’t ask for better publicity than this.

Oh my goodness, Mother Goose! I’m so sorry to hear about your allergies. What a terrible inflammation in your eyes. I’ve had very bad allergies through the years, but never anything like this. Yes, prayers. I am thrilled to hear about this movie about the life of Rich Mullins. I’m going to definitely keep an eye out for it and we will make a point of seeing it when it is released! I am so glad to have been aware, and will not be on the alert. Feel better!!

Debra, thank you so much for your precious prayers. It seems that my allergies get increasingly worse year by year. But this eye problem is above and beyond ANYTHING I’ve ever experienced before. Styes in both eyes.

The movie about Rich is going to be a blessing to so many people. I think his music is timeless, but it’s the message that Jesus lavishes His love on us ragamuffins which is so very powerful. Our world needs to hear it over and over again.

      God bless you today, dear.
