Mother Goose Has Her Fingerprints Done

For many women, getting their nails done is an important part of the holidays — it sets the tone for gaiety and glamorous evenings. For Mother Goose, getting my nails done is nothing short of embarrassing — I struggle and I avoid those situations as though I may catch the plague from a nail technician.

However, I am not opposed to having my fingerprints done, and went flapping happily into the Oak Park Police Station today to keep my appointment with “Dianna” (probably not her real name…).

After checking my identification thoroughly and informing me of my rights, she carefully dipped my wingtips in the red ink and then rolled them very professionally across the paper. Mother Goose was quite impressed with her methods and how kind she was to offer a paper towel and the use of the facilities afterwards to cleanse my fingers. “Dianna” was gracious indeed — a quality you seldom find in a police station. And Mother Goose would know! (Please see my previous post where I was nearly arrested and put behind bars in northern Wisconsin!)

You won’t want to miss tomorrow’s story when Mother Goose spills the beans about the “whys” and “how comes” of this fingerprinting session!

I had to get my fingerprints done too, but I didn’t have to put them in any kind of ink. It was all electronic, which I thought was cool
